The bandit cichlid is caught in Colombia and named for the broad black vertical lines that look a bit like a bandit mask. This South American cichlid is a cave spawner and and will breed in the aquarium under the right conditions. The bandit cichlid requires a cave and some driftwood to get in the mood. Peaceful tankmate for medium size community cichlid tanks.
