Like all puffer fish, Fahaka puffers from West Africa have beaks to break apart their food. If threatened, they can blow up to three times their normal size.
Fahaka puffers are fine in freshwater and brackish water aquariums. Fahaka puffers make terrific pet fish and prefer a diet of live foods, including snails and crayfish.
